1. How to choose a Winter jacket/coat size?
Our sizes are in accordance with European size standards. To choose the right size, we recommend using our size chart. For your convenience, we have indicated all parameters in the chart such as waist, chest, and hips in centimeters. If you still have difficulties in finding the right size, please contact us and we will be happy to assist. Please note, that all of our outerwear has allowances so that you can wear it with warm sweaters.
2. How to take measurements of the chest?
To determine your chest measurement you need a tape measurement. The tape must be laid horizontally around the chest, through the armpits, behind - along the line of the shoulder blades, and in front - along with the protruding points. Do not tighten the tape too much.
3. Do we have individual tailoring?
Individual tailoring to your size is possible. Send us your measurements according to our instructions and we will be happy to make a product with your parameters.
4. Can we make products with different colors or other fur?
We are open to collaboration and possible variations of our products. Please, send us your wishes and we will do our best to fulfill your order.
5. What fabric is used in your clothing?
All of our products are made from 100% natural sheepskin. In some products, especially vests we sometimes use fleece velour or suede to make them more warm, soft, and stylish.
6. Do we dye fur?
Yes, some of our products are dyed to highlight their natural colors. Processing of sheepskin is carried out using the latest modern technologies, where we use only quality and safe dyes with hypoallergenic chemical composition.
7. How warm are the vests?
Our vests can be worn on warm days of winter, late autumn, and early spring. Our vests are great to wear on cold summer nights and cold days of winter at home. Natural sheepskin keeps dry warmth without perspiration, which keeps your back and waist warm. Sheepskin is breathable, so it allows the skin to breathe. Natural fibers have a light micro-massage effect on the body.
8. How many degrees can sheepskin coat withstand ?
Due to its special cut and natural composition our sheepskin coat can withstand very severe frost, below 30°C degrees.
9. How long does the delivery take?
We send orders within 2 days with DHL and Fedex. The average delivery time is 5 business days depending on the region.
10. When and how do I need to pay for a product?
You need to choose the right size and add a product to the cart and proceed with payment. We accept payments with Paypal.
11. What is your return policy?
Full price items
Here at Merinomood we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you’re not happy with your product for any reason, it can be returned for a refund or exchange.
You have up to 30 days of receipt to return your full price products, however we insist that the products must be returned unused and have their swing tags* and washing instructions intact. You can request a cancellation within: 24 hours of purchase.
Reduced items
Please note that reduced items work slightly differently. These must be returned within 14 days from delivery, rather than 30 days. All items must be returned unused and have their swing tags and washing instructions intact.
Discounts & Promotions
If you are returning goods that you bought using a discount or promotion offer, we will adjust the refund accordingly if you fall below the discount/offer threshold, as that discount or promotion offer will no longer apply. All items must be returned unused and have their swing tags and washing instructions intact.
The value of your goods will be refunded in full excluding your original postage costs.
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Please note that we are not responsible for return postage costs other than for damaged, faulty or incorrect goods. If this is the case, please contact us before returning items.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
- Custom or personalised orders
- Perishable products (like food or flowers)
- Digital downloads
- Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
12. How to take care of sheepskin products?
If the product has suede backing it is not suitable for machine or hand washing. Dry cleaning is recommended for any products with backing materials.
- Avoid direct sunlight. This stops UV damage or fading of darker shaded products
- Shake rugs, cushions regularly
- Vacuuming can maintain look and cleanliness; make sure to vacuum with the growth of the fur. When vacuuming your rug, DO NOT use a rotating vacuum head attachment. Instead use a standard nozzle attachment.
- DO NOT tumble dry, DO NOT dry on a radiator, DO NOT use bleach, DO NOT wash in hot water.
For large stains we suggest bringing your rug to a professional leather/sheepskin cleaner. (Make sure they are familiar with sheepskin cleaning).
13. How expensive is individual tailoring (for larger sizes)?
The cost will be more expensive, since we need to use more material for larger sizes.
14. What kind of fabric is used in vests?
We have 2 kinds of vests: on some we use sheepskin coat and on others we use lining and fabric: fleece velour or polyester.
15. What is the height of products for clothing?
Mens clothing are designed to fit height 5,9 ft. Women's clothing are designed to fit height 5,5 ft.
16. Is there any other range of clothing?
The entire range is displayed on our website and instagram page.
17. What is the difference between medical and regular sheepskin?
The main difference between a regular sheepskin and a medical grade one, is its ability to withstand frequent washing and the high density of its wool fibers.
